Mark your calendars now for the 2008 Action Water Sports Splash for Cancer!
Saturday July 19, 2008
The main event of the summer, Splash 2007 was an awesome event and we're planning 2008 to be bigger and better. Grab your friends and family, hook up the boat trailer, and drive to the Muskegon River for an exciting day on the water. Visit our "Splash Stops" on the map to play games, win prizes for the kids, and fill your poker hand. At the end of the day join us for dinner at River Ridge Resort featuring live entertainment, and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Whats so great about the Muskegon River?
The Muskegon river wraps through Stanwood, Michigan and backs up behind the Croton and Hardy Dams. The water held back by the dam backs up for miles creating a perfect boating environment, hardly matched elsewhere in Michigan and it's great for water sports and family fun! The river is plenty deep and at all times, wide enough for two boats to pass each other in oposite directions. Trees line the banks blocking all wind from the river leaving lots of room for skiing and wakeboarding. Three camping locations have access to the river including our headquarters for the event, River Ridge Resort. While the water up river is better for watersports, driving down river from River Ridge offers wider and slightly rougher waters for bigger boats.
What kind of boats are allowed?
Thats the beauty of this event. Its open to EVERYONE. Bring your fishing boats, go fast boats, or inboards. There is plenty of fun no matter what type of boating you participate in. The river has all shapes and sizes for all types of boating.
